2024 - 2025 Travel Team Tryouts

Tryout Dates:

U12 Players: 10/29 (6-7:30pm) & 11/3 (10-11:30am)

U13 Players: 10/30 (5:45-7:15pm) & 11/3 (11:30-1pm)

U14 Players: 10/30 (7:15-8:45pm) & 11/3 (1-2:30pm)

U15 Player: 11/1 (6-7:30pm) & 11/3 (2:30-4pm)

U16 & U17 Players: tryouts took place in August

Tryout Location:

Greenwich Academy - 200 N. Maple Avenue, Greenwich, CT

What to expect when you are on a team:

Visit our TEAM PAGES for tentative practice and tournament schedule.
Each team will have approximately 11 travel players and 2-3 practice players.
Travel players are expected to attend ALL practices, play dates, and tournaments.
Practice players attend all practices, but NO tournaments.

USA VOLLEYBALL PLAYER AGE DEFINITION

An athlete will turn the age of their division on or after July 1st.

U12: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012.

U13: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011.

U14: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010.

U15: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009.

U16: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008.

U17: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007.

Cost:

$40 each

MUST HAVES for tryouts:

24-25 USAV/NERVA Membership

Water bottle

Positive attitude

We strongly recommend players to attend both tryouts so they have the best chance of being evaluated. It is not required.

U12-1, U13-1

> 3 1.5 hr practices/week
> 1 30 min workout/week
> 6-7 tournaments
> Video recording/analysis platform

U14-1, U15-1, U16-1, U17-1

> 3 2 hr practices/week
> 1 30 min workout/week
> 6-7 tournaments
> Video recording/analysis platform

U12-2, U13-2, U15-2, U16-2

>2 1.5 hr pratices/week
> 4-5 tournaments
> Video recording/analysis platform
(except U12-2)
